Island (Charter) Boats
The Code of Practice for the inspection and registration of all Island (charter)
boats was introduced a number of years ago following consultation with the local commercial boat operators. This Code firmly
establishes basic safety and operational levels for the industry and should ensure a continued improvement in the condition of
these boats that use our local waters. This Code is continuously being updated to reflect the changing international standards.
The most recent amendments include as section for operation and inspection of amphibious vehicles.
